Where are they now?

Former FD wrestlers that made a huge impact on the recent success of the Wrestling program have continued their journey to the next level.

Two time State Champion, Sam Cook,  is currently a senior on Tom Brands’ Iowa Hawkeye Wrestling Team.  He will be vying for the 197 spot for the nationally ranked Hawkeyes.

Three former FD standouts are currently on Doug Schwab’s University of Northern Iowa roster.  Two time State Champion, Tryston Lara, will be looking to break through the 149 weight class for the Panthers as a sophomore.  Red shirt freshman Drew Bennett and Cayd Lara will also be looking to breakthrough respectively at 133 and 157 weight classes. 

Four time State Champ and Standout Brody Teske has made a home with Cale Sanderson’s Nittany Lions.  Teske looks to be the front runner for the 125 pound spot.  

Three time State Placewinner Damond Lockner just finished up his freshman year competing for Luke Moffit’s Iowa Central Tritons.  Lockner, who made it to the round of twelve at the NJCAA tournament this past March.  

Recent Dodger graduates, three time State place winner Drevon Ross will follow Lockner and join the Tritons this year.  Two time State Qualifier, Logan Finowski will compete on the gridiron for NAIA national powerhouse, Grand View.
